Calendula is native to Europe, but grow throughout North America.  Calendula produces edible blooms and is described in some herbal remedies.  While Calendula performs best in the conditions described above, it is quite adaptable to a variety of conditions except for extreme draught and heat.  Calendula will also bloom late into autumn as it is tolerant of light frost.
