Germination Time: one to four weeks depending on soil conditions.


Catnip is a perennial and a member of the mint family.  It attracts and affects cats due to the presence of the chemical nepetalactone.  In addition, the catnip flowers are attractive to bees and butterflies.  Germination may be aided by scarifying the seed with extra fine sandpaper by rubbing gently a few times.
