Approximate number of seeds per gram (ounce) : 245 (7,000)

Sun: full sun or shade (once weather is warmer)

Water: keep soil moderately moist during germination

Soil: sow at 1/4 inch in well-drained, loamy soil which is rich in organic matter

Cauliflower does well with warm days and cool nights.  It needs rich soil and plenty of spacing.  As with other Brassica plants, crop rotation is important.  If starting indoors, additional lighting and low temperatures (15 to 17 Celsius) are particularly important to prevent the seedlings from stretching.
