Water: keep soil consistently moist during germination, do not overwater, but water regularly, avoiding soggy soil conditions

Soil:  cover 1 inch with well-drained soil, rich in organic material

Temperature: 21 to 24 degrees Celsius (70 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit)

Spacing: space seeds 12 to 18 inches apart in rows about 2 to 3 feet apart

Germination Time: 3 to 5 days


Corn is easy to grow, but should be direct sown to the location where it will mature.  Corn does not perform well in cool soil.  For normal development, corn should receive about 1 inch of water per week.
