Spacing: 8 to 12 inch (20 to 30 cm) spacing in rows about 12 to 18 inches (30 to 45cm) apart

Florence fennel is typically grown for its edible bulb, however all parts of the plant are aromatic and will impart a licorice flavor to dishes.  Water regularly to ensure that bulbs fully form.  Fennel has yellow flowers similar to dill and is attractive to bees and butterflies.
