Rose Mallow is resembles the hollyhock and the blooms are similar to those of a hibiscus.  Rose Mallow is native to Europe, but has become naturalized to the southeastern US.  Sow seeds in early spring after the danger of frost has passed.  Mallow is suitable for mass plantings in meadows or for borders and each plant will generate hundreds of blooms.  Deadhead regularly to avoid self-seeding.
