Sun: full sun or partial shade

Water: keep soil moderately moist during germination, do not overwater

Soil: cover with 1/16 inch of soil, use rich, well-drained soil

Spacing: 5 to 6 pounds per acre for a meadow, or 18 to 24 inches

Germination Time: two to four weeks


The Shasta Daisy is a hybrid created by Luther Burbank.  Shasta Daisies make an excellent plant for bordering areas or as a groundcover and are perennials.  Shasta daisies have a long bloom period, make excellent cut flowers and can last over a week in flower arrangements.  Shasta Daisies typically bloom in June and July, but will continue to bloom into August if spent flowers are removed.
