Spearmint is a hardy plant that will grow well in a variety of conditions.  It grows so well that it tends to be invasive if not kept under control.  The flowers are attractive to bees and butterflies.  Spearmint makes an excellent garnish with desserts and can be used for teas.  It also has been said to aid digestion.
